What is the Pre-College Summer Institute?
The Pre-College Summer Institute is made up of five college-level programs designed specifically for rising high school juniors and seniors. Students enrolled in four-week programs earn three college credits.

Who comes to the Pre-College Summer Institute?
400 students from over 30 states and numerous nations attend the Pre-College Summer Institute each year. They are creative, curious, talented, energetic and passionate about their field of study.
Why should I attend the Pre-College Summer Institute?
Class sizes are small in the Pre-College Summer Institute, ranging from 10 to 18 students. Our classes are held in state-of-the-art facilities where students use professional tools, equipment and spaces.
All work created in the Pre-College Summer Institute is portfolio suitable. Whether students intend on studying the arts at the college level or are just interested in exploring a new medium or technology, they will have the opportunity to discover where arts may lie in their future
Who are the faculty?
The faculty of the Pre-College Summer Institute are talented teaching artists and dedicated educators. Instructors exhibit, publish or perform their work on an ongoing basis locally and regionally. Many of our instructors are alumni of the University of the Arts; the majority teach at the undergraduate level and most have received Masterís degrees, the highest degree awarded in the Arts.
